CLE Overview

Building the Muscle to Lead Through Continuous Change

AI transformation is not primarily a technology challenge. It is a change challenge. Led by Gabrielle Kohlmeier, this capstone session will draw together the lessons of the America Bar Association’s 21 Days of AI: Grit & Growth Mindset Challenge to examine how legal professionals can build the human and organizational capabilities needed to navigate continuing technological change. Even if you didn’t participate in the Challenge, you are welcome to attend this event.

Using three interconnected concepts – change capacity, change agency, and change discipline, the session will help participants recognize how curiosity, experimentation, reflection, professional judgment, feedback, and repeated practice can create durable change muscle. Participants will explore how to move beyond episodic AI experimentation toward an intentional practice of learning, deciding, adapting, and acting as tools, expectations, and professional rules continue to evolve.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the elements of change capacity, agency, and discipline and how they support effective AI adoption and professional adaptation.
  2. Recognize how experimentation, reflection, feedback, and professional judgment build durable change capability rather than simply tool proficiency.
  3. Apply a practical framework for continuing change after the 21-day program, including deciding what to explore, what to prioritize, what to stop doing, and how to maintain momentum as AI evolves.

This session will offer 1.0 PA CLE Credit, sponsored by Babst Calland.
