Geovette Washington, University of Pittsburgh Vice Chancellor and Chief Legal Officer, played a pivotal role in the founding and launch of the PLDIC, stepping down this fall after three years on the Coalition’s inaugural Board of Directors (serving as vice-chair of the Board). She has been tapped by President-elect Joe Biden to lead a 21-person Department of Commerce review team. She previously served as the deputy general counsel of the Commerce Department, before moving to the White House where she served as general counsel and senior policy advisor in the Office of Management and Budget in the Obama administration.
