Summer Clerkship Information Session

Nov 9, 2022

12-1 p.m.

Online

Attention law firms, corporate legal departments, governmental legal department and legal nonprofits. If you are, or have ever been interested in participating as an employer in the ACBA’s Summer Clerkship Program, you’re invited to join this information session and learn more about the program as well as employer expectations and benefits. If you’ve participated in the past but have questions about changes to the program rolling out for the 2022-23 year, this session is for you too.

Launched in 2005 and entering its 18th consecutive year, the ACBA’s Summer Clerkship Program is the bar association’s premier diversity pipeline initiative. The program is open to first-year law students who identify as persons of color, disabled (as defined by the ADA) or as LGBTQ+. Students must attend one local (Allegheny County) law school or be an Allegheny County resident attending law school elsewhere. Students apply to the program at the conclusion of their first semester and interview with Pittsburgh-area law firms, corporate legal departments, government legal departments, non-profit organizations, court systems, legal aid, public defenders and district attorneys’ offices. For more information, contact Kellie Ware at kware@acba.org.
