Past Members Meetings
The PLDIC hosts two annual meetings for its member organizations: a spring and a fall meeting. Both meetings offer opportunities to hear distinguished speakers, hear updates about the Coalition, and provide a chance to network with fellow members.
2026 Spring Members Meeting
Featuring Jim Rooney and Professor N. Jeremi Duru, who discussed how leaders can advance racial equity with their presentation, “The Leader’s Role in Equity, Race and Opportunity.” They outlined the Rooney Rule’s strengths and weaknesses, providing insight into how leaders can create their own pathways for effective workplace policies.
2025 Annual Members Meeting
Featuring a fireside chat between Yusuf Zakir, Chief Talent and Inclusion Officer at Davis Wright Tremaine, and PLDIC Executive Director Ena Lebel. They discussed the critical importance of continuing to advance and advocate for DEI work in the current climate.
2025 Spring Members Meeting
Featuring keynote speaker Prasanna Ranganathan as he joined us virtually to deliver his talk: I Am Not the Problem: Understanding Disability and Re-Imagining Accessibility and Accommodations in the Workplace and the World. Attendees were also treated to a tour of our host facility, the Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL).
2024 Annual Members Meeting
Featuring a panel discussion on the national, state, and local implications of the 2024 elections on DEI in the legal industry with Lisa Kirby, President of Inclusive Talent Systems at Diversity Lab; Maraleen Shields, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Interbranch Commission for Gender, Racial and Ethnic Fairness; and Felicity Williams, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Pittsburgh.
