We are seeking an Employment Attorney with two or more years of experience to join our growing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counseling: provide advice on hiring, termination, leave management (FMLA/ADA) and internal investigations
- Administrative work before the EEOC, PHRC or Pittsburgh Commission on Human Relations – draft position statements and defend clients in EEOC/PHRC or other administrative proceedings
- Litigation – Defend clients in state and federal court in employment claims, including drafting pleadings, conducting and defending depositions, answering discovery, handling ESI discovery requests, possible trial work.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years focused specifically on labor and employment law.
- Dual Skill Set: Proven track record in both day-to-day employment counseling and hands-on litigation.
- Has current experience in labor negotiations and collective bargaining.
- Portable Book: An established, portable book of business is a bonus.
- Credentials: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in the PA Bar. Admission to either the WV Bar or the OH Bar is a plus.
- Mindset: Proactive, business-minded, and eager to contribute to the firm’s strategic growth.
