Job Board Terms of Use
Effective as of December 1, 2024
Welcome to the Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion Job Board (“Job Board”). By using our Job Board, you agree to abide by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the Job Board.
- Eligibility
- Only current Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion member organizations of (“Members”) are eligible to post job listings on the Job Board.
- All job postings must be for positions located in the greater Pittsburgh area or for remote positions explicitly associated with the Pittsburgh region.
- Account Responsibility
- Each Member organization is responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their Job Board account credentials.
- Members agree to notify Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion immediately of any unauthorized use of their account.
- Guidelines for Job Postings

- Geographic Restriction: All job listings must be for positions based in the greater Pittsburgh area, including roles that may be remote but tied to this region.
- Content Standards: Job postings must be professional and must not contain false, misleading, or deceptive information. Each listing must clearly describe the position’s responsibilities, qualifications, and other relevant details.
- Non-Discrimination: Job postings must comply with all applicable employment laws and must not contain discriminatory language related to race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
- Compliance with Law: Members must ensure that their job postings comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

- Prohibited Uses – Members are prohibited from using the Job Board for:

- Posting jobs that violate applicable labor laws or promote any illegal activity.
- Posting jobs that involve unpaid work, except for legitimate volunteer opportunities that comply with local labor laws.
- Advertising roles that involve pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, or other deceptive business practices.
- Sharing or linking to malicious software or content.

- Content and Intellectual Property

- By posting on the Job Board, Members grant Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display the job postings for the purpose of operating and promoting the Job Board.
- Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion does not claim ownership over Member-submitted content but reserves the right to review, modify, or remove postings that violate these Terms of Use or are otherwise deemed inappropriate.

- Monitoring and Enforcement

- Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion reserves the right to monitor job postings and to take appropriate action, including removing listings, suspending access, or terminating accounts, if a Member is found to be in violation of these terms.
- Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion may, but is not obligated to, notify Members of violations before taking corrective action.

- Liability and Disclaimers

- Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy or completeness of any job postings or the conduct of employers or job seekers.
- Members understand that Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from interactions or employment agreements between employers and job seekers.

- Changes to Terms

- Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be communicated through the Job Board or via email. Continued use of the Job Board after changes are made signifies acceptance of the updated terms.

- Governing Law

- These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
