PBA Director of Pro Bono Services Judy Hale, based in Pittsburgh, is happy to support PBA members in providing pro bono services for low-income Pennsylvanians. PA Free Legal Answers (FLA), an online platform supported by the American Bar Association (ABA), is a way PBA members can help close the justice gap. PA FLA offers a way to volunteer that can fit almost any busy schedule.
- PA FLA operates as a free virtual clinic for clients. Individuals create an account and post their legal questions.
- Licensed Pennsylvania attorneys remain anonymous to clients and provide legal advice or information through the online platform.
- The ABA provides malpractice insurance.
- The PBA Pro Bono Services team provides training, resources and support for licensed Pennsylvania attorneys to assist people navigating legal problems who cannot afford an attorney.
Want to learn more? Mark your calendar for Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from noon to 1 p.m. The PBA Pro Bono Services team will present a one-hour CLE program for one ethics credit on providing legal advice and information to low-income Pennsylvanians through PA FLA.
