The Brave Space/Self-Care Series: SCOTUS Affirmative Action Case

Aug 16, 2023

12-1 p.m.

Eckert Seamans, U.S. Steel Tower, 600 Grant St, 44th Floor Pittsburgh, PA 15219

Please join the PLDIC’s Community Building Committee for the first event in “The Brave Space/Self-Care Series” on August 16 from 12-1 p.m. In this session, we will discuss the Supreme Court’s recent decision to end affirmative action plans. This conversation will be facilitated by Eckert Seamans’ Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Director Danielle Mundekis, who will lead us through dialogue surrounding questions submitted in advance of the session, as well as those asked during our time together. This forum is intended to provide open and honest thought exchange, and as a result, engage us in challenging and thoughtful discourse where best-intent is the prevailing assumption, and learning and understanding is the desired outcome. While we welcome differences in opinion, there will be no room for language or ideology that is rooted in hate or harm. We encourage anyone who wishes to participate in this series to join us at Eckert Seamans to grapple with what promises to be a thought-provoking dialogue. Please feel free to bring your lunch. Please RSVP and send any advance questions to Danielle Mundekis by August 15.
