The PLDIC held its Spring Members Meeting on April 9 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Human Engineering Research Laboratories – Bakery Square. Approximately 40 attendees representing 25 PLDIC member organizations networked over cocktails and appetizers, heard from PLDIC leadership, and listened to keynote speaker Prasanna Ranganathan as he joined us virtually to deliver his talk: I Am Not the Problem: Understanding Disability and Re-Imagining Accessibility and Accommodations in the Workplace and the World. Ranganathan is a documentary producer, human rights lawyer, diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and belonging (DEIAB) consultant/advisor, speaker, author, correspondent, writer and arts columnist. Attendees also had the unique opportunity to tour the HERL and learn about some of the amazing advances in assistive technology happening right here in Pittsburgh!
